Popcorn Blue: Illustrations that spark imaginations everywhere

With a wild imagination and a love of animals, Sarah Hardy established Popcorn Blue to bring magic and whimsy to homes with her beautiful illustrations.

A successful children's storybook illustrator with a background in graphic design, Sarah works from her home studio in Melbourne. Surrounded by her family, a Labrador called Zeus, and Winston Churchill the cat, inspiration is never too far away.

You'll find her enchanting hand-drawn illustrations in children's books, greeting cards, fine art prints, children's board games, and homewares all over Australia.

Sarah is passionate about creating joyful artworks.

The cutest, furriest of animals that bring pleasure to those who behold them. Expressions filled with character and wonder; amusement twinkling in the eyes. The hint of a smile. Her collections feature animals and botanicals created in the spirit of colour and whimsy.

"Looking at a finished illustration never ceases to amaze me. My illustrating process begins with the eyes, as it is the character that essentially must come forth, and so the most important part," Sarah says. "My aim is for the animals to draw you into their phenomenal wonder. Capturing it with a pencil is truly a gift I am honoured and grateful to share."
